My two guides did an outstanding job in taking me across the hills, valleys, and meadows to see the enormous Genghis Khaan monument. Being with them is an unforgettable experience. We shared many stories. They liked that I told them: "Make Love-Not War", that they should Dream and everything is possible. I hope my visit gives them inspiration, being here with them was made me think of things a little differently. I was always picked up on time, the train was always on time and the people were friendly. No many other tourists on the BAM though, only a couple of Swiss travellers. “Hello Andrei, We have just returned to our home in Alaska. Our whole trip was wonderful, without any problems, only surprises. The China and Mongolia part of the trip were probably the most eye opening for us. Seeing the contrast as we passed through was unbelievable. We didn't want to sleep, in fear of missing something out of the window. Irkutsk, was a wonderful place to stop. Our guide with the Baikal agent, Katya, was top notch. We did not expect to have a personal guide and she was so pleasant and approachable. Without her, we would have learned very little about Russia. The Lake Baikal area is so beautiful. I am embarrassed to say the at I had never heard of Lake Baikal before. With its size, I can't understand why I had no knowledge of it. Once in Moscow, we were fortunate to meet an English lady at the hotel. She invited us for a day with her personal guide by car. From there we met a new internet friend Marina and her 83 year old Mother. We stayed with them for 2 nights. They took very good care of us and gave us an experience to cherish. As far as the bookings, The hotels that you booked were very good and above my expectations. The Chinese train was excellent. Good service and nice accomodations.”
